Brett McFadgen’s Big Challenge
Brett McFadgen, Chief Operating Officer at PLS, is a strong leader who knows how to get results under pressure. With years of experience in mining operations, Brett is respected for his ability to guide his teams, keep things running smoothly, and stay calm no matter the challenge.
On November 22, Brett will swap his work gear for boxing gloves as he steps into the ring at the 2025 Corporate Boxing Event. Drawing on inspiration from the Pilgangoora mine site, Brett “The Pilgan Crusher” McFadgen will face Clay “Savage Gentleman” Greenbank in a fight that’s sure to be exciting and hard fought.
For Brett, this is more than just a boxing match. It’s a chance to test himself in a new way while joining other fighters to raise awareness for mental health. Just like in the mining industry, success in the ring takes discipline, resilience, and a strong will to win.
Brett will also be proudly supporting Are You Bogged Mate?, a charity dedicated to improving mental health and wellbeing in rural and regional communities.

Why Brett is Fighting for Are You Bogged Mate?
At Are You Bogged Mate?, we’re all about helping country blokes talk about mental health and suicide while spreading awareness about depression in the bush.
Depression in rural areas is a lot like getting bogged in the mud. It might have been just a sticky patch of the road or paddock where the vehicle stopped moving, maybe you needed low range or a winch to get yourself out.
But what happens when you get properly bogged? When it’s down to the running boards, sitting on the chassis, you are not getting out of this one easily. That’s the kind of bogged we mean.
Country blokes are facing challenges like never before and it takes guts to admit you’re bogged. We’re making sure people are connected with the right hands to pull them out.
