We know how hard you fellas work and often don't take any downtime to empty your bucket.
Run by Are You Bogged Mate?, Bogged Brakes is a short getaway specifically designed for rural blokes to take a load off and unwind.
Are you and your mate eligible? Applicants must be:
- A bloke
- 18+ years old
- Live and/or work in a rural area. Truckie, FIFO or DIDO worker? This means you too!
- Be fit enough to walk a couple of kilometres and climb a couple of stairs. You don’t have to be an athlete!

Unwind from the grind and make mates by the campfire
With a Bogged Brakes break, you and a mate can enjoy accommodation, food and a range of fun activities and adventures on the house.
It’s an opportunity for you to get away, relax, make friends, build connections, and develop skills to un-bog yourself and others.
So, if you're feeling a bit bogged down, this is a chance for you (plus a mate, if you like) to be part of an awesome weekend away.

Because the chores don't magically stop when you do, we've partnered with Farm Sitters Australia to help connect rural blokes with reliable folks who can keep things running while you're away.

How to apply
Our next Bogged Brakes events will have you unwinding with some fun activities amongst like-minded blokes. This year we will be running two events in Queensland’s beautiful Fraser Coast.
- 22nd to 26th August 2024 and
- 3rd to 7th October 2024
To attend either of these events, tell us below in 25 words or less why you (or you and your mate) need a blokes-only break. Easy as!
